Who is Jesus? He is the Christ, the son of the living God (Matthew 16:16). He is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). He is the only way. There is no other name under heaven, given among mortals by whom we must be saved (Acts 4:12). This is not politically correct, but it is who is jesus truth straight from God. All the other prophets are dead. Only Jesus lives and is seated at the right hand of God.
Who is Jesus? He is the creator of all things. All things in heaven and on earth, whether visible or invisible, whether thrones or dominions, whether principalities or powers. All things were created through and for him (Colossians 1:16). He has the power of life and death, both physical and spiritual. Therefore, we must respect this kind of power to be saved.
Who is Jesus? He is the mediator between us and God. Priests are mentioned in the Old Testament, and every Christian is a priest according to the New Testament. Many of the Epistles are addressed to the saints at a certain location. It is referring to ordinary Christians. There is no Scriptural basis for class privilege one above another, in the church.
Jesus is the head of the church and we must go by his words and the writers of the New Testament. Jesus said that heaven and earth will pass away but his words will live forever. We will be judged by his words in the Bible. Those who are committing willing sins must change their ways and be obedient to Jesus to be saved.
Jesus fulfilled every requirement of the law, making it no longer necessary. The Law of Moses was only for Jews. It was never for Gentiles, except those who converted to Judaism. The New Testament is actually his last will and testament and is binding on everyone who wants to be saved. Since he was tempted in all areas like we are without sin, he is qualified to be our High Priest and savior.
When Jesus died on the cross, the curtain between the people and the Holy of Holies in the temple was torn from top to bottom, indicating that we now have direct access to God. We can go directly to God when we pray in the name and by the authority of Jesus. He and the Holy Spirit intercede in our prayers to change them to the language God needs to hear.
The apostle Paul indicated that if we or an angel from heaven teaches anything different from what we have preached, let them be eternally condemned.
That includes apostles and angels. The Bible is the only book that was inspired by the Holy Spirit of God. Jesus came direct from heaven to purchase our salvation on the cross. We do not need any other book or doctrine except the Bible.
