Our large jewellery polishing cloth is impregnated with rouge and is the ideal way to keep gold, silver and gold plate looking great. It gently and thoroughly cleans, removes tarnish and adds a lovely shine.

The Rouge Cloth is made from 100% woven cotton that is infused with a variety of cleaners and anti-tarnish agents including Jewellers Rouge (the red colouring). When the cloth is rubbed across a piece of jewellery it removes fingerprints, oils, moisture and tarnish whilst imparting a tarnish resistant coating on the item and leaving a nice polished sheen. The Rouge Cloth will also remove most small scratches but deep scratches may require a professional buffing.

It is safe to use on all sterling silver, copper, brass and silver plate and some gemstones. It is NOT recommended for use on strung beads as it will rot the silk cord, however, it will safely remove most light tarnishing. The cloth is non-toxic, non-abrasive and can be used on both sides. Over time the cloth will turn black from removing tarnish, this is normal and it shows that the jewellery polishing cloth is still working. Karlea likes to keep hers in a zip lock bag and only replaces them when they are completely black on both sides.

We recommend that you use Priory metal cleaner first to remove heavy tarnish and then once your jewellery has been cleaned, polish with the Rouge Cloth regularly. The Rouge Cloth can be imprinted with a company logo and message for retail use, luncheons, charities and gift items.   jewellery polishing cloth
